Nobel Prize–winning author Toni Morrison is dead at 88

Famed author Toni Morrison, who won Pulitzer and Nobel prizes in literature during her celebrated career, has died at 88, according to a report. The novelist died Monday night, according to New York magazine‘s , citing a source at her publisher. Morrison is known for her novel "Beloved," which received a film adaptation in 1998. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1993 and Pulitzer Prize and American Book Award for "Beloved" in 1988.
